HR Managers discuss contingency planning for Avian Flu pandemic

The HR Network held videoconferences in September and November to discuss modalities and arrangements to be made in case of an Avian Influenza outbreak.
A contingency plan had been sent out by the United Nations Medical Director; HR Network members are now discussing the details of providing prophylaxis and treatment for staff and their dependents, as well as the modalities under which staff would be allowed to leave their post in the event of an outbreak at their duty station.
