coverIntroductionSince 1964 the CEB procured HR statistics have provided a snapshot of the UN system workforce. This data forms the basis for almost all analyses undertaken by the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), CEB and other bodies involved in affecting conditions of employment in the United Nations common system, and for reports submitted to the Economic and Social Council and the General Assembly. It is important to note that the data only include staff with contracts of 12 months or longer.
